These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of PlainReports. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
This page is provided as a practical starting point for PlainReports and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before public launch.
PlainReports is a reporting and client communication platform for software projects. It connects to project tools, imports selected activity, and helps teams draft, approve, schedule, send, and share reports.
PlainReports is not project management software, employee monitoring software, time tracking software, productivity scoring software, or a replacement for your internal engineering tools.
You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, protecting your password, and controlling access to your account and team. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
You must be authorized to create an account on behalf of your company or team and to connect any third-party services you add to PlainReports.
PlainReports may offer a free trial. Trial limits may be lower than paid plan limits and may change over time.
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges for the selected plan and billing interval until cancelled. Monthly and yearly pricing may use separate Stripe prices under the same plan.
Plan changes, upgrades, downgrades, prorations, renewals, cancellations, taxes, and invoices are handled through Stripe and the billing portal unless otherwise stated.
If a trial ends or payment fails, access to parts of the service may be limited until a valid subscription is active.
You may connect third-party services such as Jira, ClickUp, Monday.com, Trello, GitHub Issues, and other tools. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to connect those accounts and import their activity.
PlainReports reads selected activity from connected sources to generate reports. You should not connect sources or submit content that you are not allowed to process or share.
You can disconnect integrations, but previously generated reports and imported activity may remain until deleted or otherwise removed according to the product's available controls.
PlainReports drafts reports from available project activity and user-provided context. Reports may contain errors, omissions, or wording that needs review.
You are responsible for reviewing, editing, approving, and deciding whether to send or share each report. Nothing should be treated as final client communication until you approve it.
Client portals and report links may be visible to recipients or anyone with access to the link, depending on your settings. You are responsible for managing recipients and portal access.
You may not use PlainReports to violate laws, infringe rights, upload malicious content, attempt unauthorized access, overload the service, reverse engineer the service, or use the service for employee surveillance, harassment, or unlawful monitoring.
You may not use PlainReports to process highly sensitive information unless you have confirmed that your use is appropriate for your legal, contractual, and security obligations.
You retain ownership of the content, project information, activity data, and reports you submit or generate through PlainReports.
You grant PlainReports the rights needed to host, process, transmit, display, and use that content solely to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
PlainReports may use AI providers to generate report drafts and summaries. AI-generated content can be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and approving reports before sending them.
We aim to keep PlainReports reliable, but the service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, outages, third-party failures, or other issues.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as the product evolves.
PlainReports is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlainReports will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.
You may stop using PlainReports at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service, fail to pay required fees, or use the service unlawfully.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to contact@plainreports.com.
